Yes. Qulo is free to download and free to use for its core loop: you can write your questions, solve other people's questions and match without paying. Two optional subscriptions, Plus at $4.99 and Premium at $9.99 per month, add convenience features, and an in-app diamond currency powers optional boosts — none of which are required to match.

What you get without paying
The core loop is free. You can create your profile, write your 2 to 4 questions (up to 10 on a paid plan), browse and solve other people's questions, match when you get them all right, and chat with your matches — without a subscription and without spending anything.
The optional subscriptions

- Plus — $4.99 / month. Convenience features on top of the free loop.
- Premium — $9.99 / month. Everything in Plus plus the extras, including browsing other locations.
Prices are shown in US dollars; your store may convert to local currency, and Apple or Google handle the billing.
What diamonds are
Qulo also has an in-app currency. Green diamonds are earned in the app and spent on powers — a hint, halving the four options, skipping a question. Purple diamonds are bought and unlock special features. Neither is required to match: you can solve a full set of questions and match without ever spending one.
The short version
Nothing about matching is behind a paywall. Everything paid on Qulo is a convenience, not a gate — so it is reasonable to install it, write your questions and see whether anyone gets them right before deciding whether any of the paid options are worth it to you.
