Is Qulo safe to use?

What the app does

• Encrypted storage. Your account data is stored encrypted.
• Email verification. An address has to be verified before a profile becomes visible to others.
• Block and report on everything. Both controls sit in the three-dot menu on any profile and in any chat.
• Human review. Reports land in a moderation panel and are read by a person; cases involving a suspected minor are prioritised and confirmed accounts are permanently terminated.

What no app can do

No dating product can make meeting a stranger risk-free, and you should be sceptical of any that implies otherwise. Moderation catches reported behaviour after the fact; it does not vet the person you are about to have coffee with.

People are right to weigh this. In SSRS's February 2026 survey of 2,012 US adults, 57% said meeting someone in person from a dating app is generally safe — but 43% said it is not, and the gap by gender is wide: 55% of women said it is not safe, against 30% of men.

Sensible precautions, regardless of app

• Meet somewhere public the first time, and get yourself there and back.
• Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be home.
• Keep the conversation inside the app until you are comfortable moving it.
• Treat requests for money, however sympathetic the story, as a reason to stop and report.

Where the question mechanic helps — and where it doesn't

Answering someone's questions takes more effort than tapping a photo, which raises the cost of mass, low-effort contact. That is a genuine benefit, but it is a filter on effort, not an identity check. Use it as one layer among several.
