Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Qulo ("App", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Qulo is developed and operated by Berkant Çalıkuşu, an individual developer based in Istanbul, Turkey. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Berkant Çalıkuşu.

To use Qulo, you must: • Be at least 18 years old. We verify your age through date of birth during registration. • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration. • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws. • Not have been previously banned or had your account terminated by us. By using Qulo, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

When you create a Qulo account: • You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password. • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. • You must notify us immediately at info@socrepho.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. • You may not create multiple accounts, use another person's account, or share your account credentials. We authenticate users using a custom JWT system with email and bcrypt-hashed passwords. We do not offer social media login.

You retain ownership of the content you create on Qulo, including questions, answers, profile information, photos, and chat messages ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Qulo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. You agree that your User Content will not: • Contain sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene material. • Promote violence, hatred, discrimination, or harassment. • Infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. • Contain spam, advertisements, or solicitations. • Include false, misleading, or deceptive information. • Violate any applicable law or regulation. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

Qulo features a virtual currency system with two types of diamonds: • Green Diamonds: Earned when other users solve your questions. Green diamonds are non-transferable and have no real-world monetary value. You cannot cash out, sell, or exchange green diamonds for real money. • Purple Diamonds: Purchased through in-app purchases via Apple App Store or Google Play. Purple diamonds are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the refund policies of Apple/Google. Diamonds can be used to purchase Powers and other in-app features. We reserve the right to modify the diamond economy, including earning rates, costs, and available items, at any time. Unused diamonds do not expire as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, all diamonds are permanently forfeited.

Qulo offers special powers that enhance your question-solving experience: • Oracle: Reveals the correct answer. • Half: Eliminates half of the incorrect options. • Skip: Skips the current question without penalty. • Time Extend: Adds extra time to the question timer. • Hint: Provides a hint about the correct answer. • Skip All: Skips all remaining questions. Powers are consumable and non-refundable once used. Power costs are denominated in diamonds and may change at our discretion. Some powers may be restricted based on your subscription plan.

When using Qulo, you agree NOT to: • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users. • Send unsolicited or inappropriate messages. • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation. • Use the Service for any illegal purpose. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems. • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or interact with the Service. • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App. • Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the App. • Manipulate the diamond economy, question system, or matching algorithm. • Use the Service for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation without our written consent. Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

Qulo offers the following subscription plans: • Free: Basic access with ads and standard feature limits. • Plus ($4.99/month): Ad-free experience, increased discover limits, monthly diamond bonus, and additional features. • Premium ($9.99/month): All Plus features plus Passport mode, unlimited discovers, higher diamond bonuses, and exclusive features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. By subscribing, you agree to the recurring billing terms of the respective platform. • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law or the refund policies of Apple/Google. • We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing and features. Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes in advance and may cancel before the new price takes effect.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if: • You violate these Terms of Service. • You engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the Service. • Your account has been inactive for an extended period. • We are required to do so by law. Upon termination: • Your access to Qulo will be immediately revoked. • Your profile, questions, matches, and messages will be permanently deleted. • Unused diamonds and remaining subscription time are forfeited (except where refund is required by law). • Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple App Store or Google Play to stop future billing.

Qulo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to: • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, form a relationship, or have any particular outcome from using the Service. Qulo is a platform that facilitates connections — the quality and outcome of those connections depend on the users involved. We do not conduct background checks on users and are not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: • Berkant Çalıkuşu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. • Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. • We are not liable for any loss of data, diamonds, or virtual items due to technical issues, account deletion, or service discontinuation. This limitation of liability applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Republic of Turkey. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms of Service are prepared in compliance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). As the data controller, Berkant Çalıkuşu processes your personal data in accordance with the principles set forth by KVKK. Your personal data is processed for the purposes of providing the service, fulfilling legal obligations, and our legitimate interests. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information.

Your personal data may be processed on servers located outside of Turkey (Supabase, Firebase, RevenueCat) as required by our service infrastructure. This transfer is based on your explicit consent under KVKK Article 9. Industry-standard encryption methods are used to ensure the security of your data.
